Welcome to the website of conductor and composer, Adam Kornas.
An alumnus of Chetham’s School of Music, Adam began his musical training on violin and performed extensively throughout the UK as soloist and chamber musician. At the age of 13, Adam was given the opportunity to perform as soloist/conductor of Haydn’s Violin Concerto in G with Chetham’s Sinfonia, at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester. It was from that moment that his interest in conducting was kindled. At the age of 15, Adam added composition to his studies and began conducting his own works. Soon afterwards, Adam created the Chetham’s Haydn Orchestra and began to receive invitations to conduct other student compositions. Throughout this time, Adam was a member of Chetham’s Symphony Orchestra, performing under the baton of conductors such as Sir Mark Elder, Franz Anton Krager and Paul McCreesh. Performing under such inspirational directors added further to Adam's aspirations to one day follow in their footsteps. . .
